Vidya in a brand new powerful avatar

Vidya Balan may not be the hottest babe of tinsel town, but that she is a powerhouse of talent and an actor of substance, is one thing that everyone agrees on. The latest to be impressed by her charms is director Sujoy Ghosh of Jhankaar Beats fame who has reportedly signed the talented actress in the lead role of his next film, which will be a remake of Hollywood flick Kill Bill and Vidya will be enacting the role played by Hollywood actress Uma Thurman in the original flick.
Kill Bill is a revenge drama and it is a golden opportunity for Vidya to display her talents once again in the powerful role of a woman, who is betrayed by the people she trusts and then how she takes revenge from them. Her role also demands some action sequences from her. This will be the first time, Balan, who is known for her soft image on screen, will be seen doing stunts for a role.

3 Idiots movie got National Award

National award for the best popular film was won by 3 Idiots while the National Award for the best film went to the Malayalam film Kutty Srank.
Amitabh Bachchan bagged the best actor award for his role in Paa. Farooq Sheikh bagged the best supporting actor award for his role in Lahore.
Ananya Chatterjee won the best actress award for her role in Bengali film Abohoman
The best supporting actress award was won by Arundhuti Nag for her role in Paa.
Rituparno Ghosh won the best director award for film Abohoman.
The playback singer (male) award went to Rupam Islam for Mahanagar and playback singer (female) Nilanjana Sarkar for Houseful.
Amit Trivedi won the best music director award for Dev-D.

The best lyrics award went to Swanand Kirkere for Behti hawa sa in 3 Idiots.
The Nargis Dutt award for best film with a social message went to Delhi-6.
Paa won the best Hindi film award.

Kajol gave birth to a baby boy

It’s celebration time for the Devgans. At 9.20 am on Monday, actress Kajol gave birth to a baby boy at Mumbai’s Leelavati Hospital in Bandra.
According to hospital sources, both the baby and the mother are doing fine.
Ajay and Kajol already have a daughter named Nysa. The arrival of a baby boy completes the family picture.
Friends from the film industry have started congratulating the couple.

Shahrukh Khan tweeted: “Bringing life on earth is the most beautiful gift of God.Allah bless Ajay & Kajol with happiness & health. son of a devgun wow masha allah,"
Priyanka Chopra wrote: “It’s amazing when a new life comes into the world.. Congrats Ajay and kajol on the birth of ur baby boy.”

Mallika sounded very upset with Priyanka

Actress Mallika Sherwat, who was missing from the Bollywood scenario for a long time, is now back to India and she has opened her bold mouth again. Recently, the actress came back to Mumbai from Los Angeles for her next Bollywood project ‘Double Dhamaal’.
Mallika sounded very upset with Bollywood star Priyanka. The ‘Hiss’ girl has reportedly said that Priyanka has copied her act in the Color’s reality show ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi 3’. An enraged Mallika uttered her disappointment in a very witty manner. She took up the micro blogging site twitter to divulge her ire. She said that Priyanka has deliberately copied her stance.
Priyanka Chopra was seen wrapping a huge python around her neck for the reality show. Mallika has walked the red carpet in this year’s Cannes festival with a black and yellow python wrapped around the neck. Sherawat performed this act to promote her upcoming Hollywood project ‘Hiss’, where she plays a snake woman.

The controversy queen of Bollywood, Mallika can probably go to any extent to bring her movie in the limelight. She tweeted that it is just an example of what is in store on future episodes of ‘KKK3’. Popular cricket presenter and Bollywood actress Mandira Bedi wants to grow her hair and wants to look like a girl.
"I have experimented a lot with my looks. Now I want to grow my hair and want to look like a girl. Growing hair will surely take some time," said Mandira while talking to reporters after walking the ramp as a showstopper in a fashion show here.
Mandira hogged the limelight after her stint as a cricket presenter with noted cricket analyst Charu Sharma. Her sexy looks as cricket presenter were well acclaimed both nationally and internationally.
She has experimented a lot with her looks which has metamorphosed her image from that of a girl next door in the title role of mega serial ‘Shanti’ to a sexy cricket presenter on television.
Mandira said whenever her husband introduces her to friends "he says meet my ’chota bhai’ (younger brother)".

"That is the reason I want to grow my hair and look like a girl," added Mandira.

Neetu Chandra Vs Veena Malik

Bollywood firebrand Neetu Chandra will soon lock horns with Pakistani actress and comedian Veena Malik in the coming season of India’s leading reality show ‘Bigg Boss’. Neetu is said to have been offered an astronomical amount to appear on the show.

The news comes as a shocker, especially after the cricket match-fixing controversy, wherein Veena Malik unceremoniously dragged Neetu Chandra’s name, stating that the Bollywood actress had direct links with her ex-boyfriend and Pakistani bowler Mohammad Asif as well as with the ‘spot-fixing’ scandal.

Now, the battle lines seem to be drawn. Veena Malik has already been reported to feature in ‘Bigg Boss’. If Neetu indeed joins her in the reality show, there could be major catfights, news spills and more shocking drama about the humongous cricket scandal which has already rocked the world.

When asked about her appearance in ‘Bigg Boss’, Neetu’s publicist Dale Bhagwagar said, “I have also been hearing the buzz, but am yet to confirm with Neetu. I haven’t spoken to her, as I’m aware that she is in rehearsals today and her phone would be on silent mode. I’m not sure if Neetu would agree to be in ‘Bigg Boss’ even if the monies are huge.”

Wouldn’t the reality show be a good opportunity for Neetu to confront Veena Malik and her allegations head on, and clear her name from the match fixing scandal? “Veena Malik is a good comedian. She is a good actress. But I doubt if Neetu Chandra needs a reality show to defend herself.
If I know her well, she’d rather keep her grace, poise and dignity intact, than spend her time and energies on Veena Malik’s baseless allegations,” said the PR specialist.

Arjun Rampal has come up with different weapon

Hot and handsome Arjun Rampal has come up with another weapon to woo his female fan following. Joining the band wagon of the likes of Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan and Shilpa Shetty, Rampal too is all set to become one of those actors who have launched their own perfume line.
The perfume to be launched next month is aptly title ‘Alive’ and is an evening perfume exclusively for women designed by a French company. Arjun has quite a reason to be very apprehensive about the success of the brand as he has taken keen and active interest, involvement and participation in the making of the perfume as well as the selection of the fragrance. He met the company’s executives when he was in Europe last month.
