Katrina Kaif topped as Sexiest Woman in World

katrinxgx[1]1

Katrina Kaif has topped the list of Sexiest Woman across the World in the London based newspaper Eastern Eye’s list for the third time in a row beating all the other competitive actresses.

The poll was held on all the top actresses across the world, pop stars and TV personalities. Most of the Bollywood actresses spotted in the top 10 list. Priyanka Chopra has bagged the second position followed by Bipasha and Frieda Pinto in third and fourth positions respectively.

Kat was quite happy with this hat-trick win and thanked one and all for their support. Katrina Kaif says, “I’m very happy that I have made it to the top of Eastern Eye’s list again.
England is off course a very special place to me and I think it’s very sweet to be voted the sexiest by them. I just want to thank everyone for the support.”

Priyanka Chopra to play a role of sex worker

priyanlxl[1]1

From a nurse to a sex worker, it could be the most radical character overhaul in modern Hindi cinema.
Karan Johar’s remake of the 1990 film Agneepath, starring Hrithik Roshan, is surely going to be a hell lot different from the

Mukul Anand film that fetched Amitabh Bachchan a National Award. We hear that to make the film appealing to the present-day movie aficionado, Karan has decided to dump the character of the nurse played by Madhavi in the original and replace it with a dark complexioned sex worker.
Whoa! That’s some character transformation.

But here’s the clincher. Karan has reportedly zeroed down on Priyanka Chopra to play the role. We hear that PC will play a prostitute named Kaali in the remake.
Just a few weeks back, Karan had said that he can’t envision PC playing a nurse. Now we know what he had on his mind.

Rani Mukerji’s “No One Killed Jessica” gets A certificate.

ranimuzgz[1]1

Rani Mukerji’s character mouths expletives non-stop in the much talked-about film “No One Killed Jessica”. Director Rajkumar Gupta admits that the actress’ character is “very brutal and graphic in her speech” but he is not so worried about the film getting A-certificate from the censor board.

“We voluntarily beeped out Rani’s expletive in the trailer because it was to be screened on the home viewing medium. But now when we submit the film for censorship, we will go with the entire language content intact, hoping the censor board would see the context and not just the hard-hitting nature of the language,” said Gupta.“We are hoping for a UA (parental guidance) certificate. But even if we get an Adults certificate, we’re okay with it,” he added.

The film is based on model Jessica Lall’s murder case. In the film Vidya Balan will be seen as Jessica’s sister Sabrina who fought tooth and nail to get justice for her sister. Rani plays a journalist.
According to sources, Rani’s character’s flow of profanities is so non-stop that if the censor board decided to beep her gaalis her dialogue soundtrack would have more beeps than words.
Laughs and protests Gupta, saying: “It’ not that bad, really. You are making it sound like a non-stop abuse binge. My film is not that.”

“But yes, Rani’s character is very brutal and graphic in her speech. I don’t know if, as you say, Rani is the same way in real life. I didn’t know her before I shot with her. But she was thoroughly professional in mouthing squirmy words.”
While Rani is said to be gung-ho about the language, Vidya Balan is apparently dreading how the dialogues would sound in a pindrop-silent theatre with dolby sound.

“Let’s just say, both Rani and Vidya said what they had to. They were thorough professionals,” said Gupta.
Another area of discomfort for the film would be the legal ramifications of showing real-life people, particularly the hostile witnesses in the murder case.Apparently some of the key witnesses are already inquiring about the content and getting ready for legal action.

“We’re ready for any eventuality. I made the film the way I wanted to as a mix of realism and cinematic entertainment. ‘No One Killed Jessica’ is not a documentary on the Jessica Lall case. But it is about her sister’s fight for justice. And if the real-life characters recognise themselves, they are welcome to react how they want.”
In fact, former top cop Amodh Kanth has urged the Indian censor board to ensure that only the facts relating to the Jessica Lall murder case are presented in “No One Killed Jessica”

Kareena talks about her Ex-boy friend Shahid Kapoor

Kareena1

Bollywood star Kareena Kapoor is one gal who doesn’t delay to call a spade a spade. Well, the gal who has had a terrific innings in the picture industry has in addition had some connections with her co stars that have ended up being imbibed into the nature of her fans.

One of her most remembered off screen relationships perhaps will always be with Shahid Kapoor. The duo was almost seen as the cutest couple in tinsel town and both seemed quite happy with each other at one point of time. But, as they say everything in a man’s life is destined.

Thus, the two were soon reported to have split and both moved on, with Kareena becoming very close to Saif Ali Khan and Shahid Kapoor started getting linked up to many of his co-stars including Priyanka Chopra, and till date there are speculations whether Shahid and Priyanka are in a relationship or not.

Well despite the fact that both Kareena and Shahid have moved on it seems that Bebo still has not forgotten the fact that Shahid Kapoor has tremendous sex appeal.

Thus when Kareena did admit that she found Shahid the sexiest amongst all super stars at a popular show, it sent ripples in tinsel town. Everyone is talking about the fact that Bebo still thinks Shahid to be the sexiest. Now with so many compliments and counter compliments flying day in and day out everyday Bollywood surely seems to have a new crop of stars who are becoming quite generous with their contemporaries

Katrina Kaif is not too comfortable with Hindi.

katrina kaif 6[1]2

It’s common knowledge that Katrina Kaif is not too comfortable with Hindi, and prefers to speak in English at all public events so as to avoid anything being lost in translation. So imagine everyone’s surprise at the recent Zee Rishtey Awards when Kaif greeted the crowds in Marathi, with a robust.
Kasa Kai Savita Tai? (How are you, Savita Aunty?).
The crowd responded with loud cheers and whistles while the camera zoomed in on a stunned Usha Nadkarni, who plays the character of Savita Tai in the popular show Pavitra Rishta. Host Manish Paul didn’t miss a beat when he said, “Aree waah Katrina, aap Hindi se pehle Marathi seekh gayi?” (Wow Katrina, you’ve learnt Marathi before learning to speak Hindi?)

AR Rahman is in the race to win his second Golden Globe

A-R-Rahman[1]1

Oscar winning Indian musician AR Rahman is in the race to win his second Golden Globe after being nominated in the Best Original Score category for his music in the Danny Boyle directed film ‘127 Hours’ today.
The 44-year-old singer-composer had won his first Golden Globe in 2009 in the same category for ‘Slumdog Millionaire’, the Mumbai based potboiler which was again directed by British filmmaker Boyle.
Rahman’s music in the film, starring James Franco as real-life mountain climber Aron Ralston, who cut off his arm to escape from beneath a boulder after being trapped for more than five days, had received good reviews for it’s “haunting tracks” and “wonderful crescendos.” The soundtrack includes ‘If I Rise’, a collaboration between Rahman and American popstar Dido.
The nominations to the coveted award were announced here today and Rahman’s competition includes Alexandre Desplat who was nominated for ‘The King’s Speech’, Danny Elfman who was nominated for ‘Alice in Wonderland’, Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross who were jointly nominated for ‘The Social Network’ and Hans Zimmer who won a nod for his score in ‘Inception’.
The musician, known as the ‘Mozart of Madras’ had won two Oscars for his score in ‘Slumdog Millionaire’ at the 2009 Oscars, taking the film’s total haul to eight.

His song ‘Na Na’ from his Hollywood debut venture ‘Couple’s Retreat’, was longlisted in the ‘Best Original Song’ category at the 2010 Oscars but failed to win a nomination.

Rahman, who was honoured with a Padma Bhushan this year, had enjoyed a golden run at the 52nd Grammy Awards, where he had again bagged two gramophones for his music in the ‘Slumdog Millionaire’.

Priyanka is again for Krrish.

priyanka[1]1

Bollywood is currently under the spell of sequels and trilogies. The current trend of moviemaking in the Hindi film industry will reveal that almost every film which was popular at the box office is being brought back as a sequel for the audience. Therefore the Roshan family too is not to be left behind in the race. After tasting bitter failure with their earlier release ‘Kites’, the father - son duo of Rakesh Roshan and Hrithik Roshan will be back on the Bollywood screen with a sequel to their 2006 release ‘Krrish’.
According to reports circulating in the media, apart from Hrithik Roshan, Priyanka Chopra has also been roped to reprise her role of the journalist in the sequel to the 2006 superhit film. Contrary to earlier reports where it was said that leggy lass Piggy Chops will not be a part of the upcoming movie because of her supposed fallout with the Roshans, a source close to the Roshan family has said in a statement to the media that Priyanka Chopra was the first and only choice for the sequel to Krrish.

The plot of the sequel has not been revealed as of yet, but reports suggest that the sequel will begin from where the prequel saw its end. Therefore we can expect that while Hrithik Roshan as Krrish will still be the superhero, Priyanka Chopra will be his journalist girlfriend. Rakesh Roshan however will have to search for a new negative character for his upcoming project.
